The Alabama State Data Center (ASDC) program is a partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau. The SDC program is active in every state and all US Island Areas and The University of Alabama is proud to be the lead SDC agency in Alabama. Additional localized services are provided by a statewide affiliate network.

The ASDC provides technical assistance and services to state, regional, and local governments, the private sector, and the general public.

The ASDC monitors development trends, analyzes social, economic, and other characteristics, and makes available population, housing, employment, labor force, and income data, which provide a baseline for planning growth and development.

The ASDC specializes in small area data. If you are looking for information from the 1980 - 2010 censuses, we will be glad to help you find what is available. Not everything from the past for small towns is on the Internet!
